Meet Your Farmers

Looking over the Sechelt Inlet on the Sunshine Coast of BC, Heart & Sol Coastal Farm is a place to be inspired.

We are Julie & Socrates Carrillo, stewards of the land on this un-ceded territory of the Shíshálh Nation. Together with kids and our amazing team we run a small-scale farm with a vision to create a beautiful space that inspires a connection with nature.

Our mission is to get healthy, local, and delicious food in as many households as possible.

What We Offer

Our farm is an ecosystem. It is home to close to 100 free range chickens and a small flock of ducks who lay the most beautiful eggs. We raise Miniature Babydoll Southdown sheep, a rare heritage breed with a soft fleece and a gentle disposition, who make ideal permaculture pets. There are many geese, hawks, owls and other wildlife who also consider our farm home, or visit on a regular basis. Together, the animals contribute to the organic matter that helps enrich our living soil. Thanks to that soil and all of its microorganisms, we grow a diverse selection of fruits, vegetables, and beans. We also grow microgreens year-round.

We are farmer foodies, with a commercial kitchen on-site. We offer small batch artisanal products, and specialize in authentic Mexican food and meal kits made with farm fresh ingredients. Look for our pop-ups and on-farm events this season!
