Our Story

Small-Scale Family Farm

Since 2021

This land inspires us, with its glorious views of the Sechelt Inlet and the Tetrahedron mountain. Sol in Spanish means sun, and we love that our farm name recognizes both our family's Mexican heritage and the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

We farm using regenerative agriculture and permaculture principles, and do not use chemical pesticides or herbicides in our garden. We grow a wide variety of produce during the growing season, and sell eggs from free-range happy hens and microgreens year-round. We sell many products made from farm-fresh ingredients, and specialize in authentic Mexican salsas. We also raise a small flock of sheep, and breed registered Miniature Babydoll Southdown Sheep.

Our vision for this land is to create a beautiful space that inspires a connection with nature. Our mission is to get healthy, local, and delicious food in as many households as possible.

While our primary focus is growing and making food, we also offer kids camps, workshops, and events on the farm. This allows us to share our passion with the community, and helps create a firsthand connection between the food on our plates and the land where it grows.

Eat local. Eat delicious.

Tracy has fallen in love with life on the farm. With over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry, working with chefs and directly interacting with customers, she brings a tremendous attention to detail and a keen eye for produce quality.

Farming requires a great team. Julie, Socrates, and Tracy make up our permanent team of farm leaders, and we are joined by a team of seasonal staff who help us bring our vision further.
