Meet Your Farmers

Looking over the Sechelt Inlet on the Sunshine Coast of BC, Heart & Sol Coastal Farm is a place to be inspired.

We are Julie & Socrates Carrillo, stewards of the land on this un-ceded territory of the Shíshálh Nation. Together with our two kids we run a small-scale family farm with a vision to create a beautiful space that inspires a connection with nature.

Our mission is to get healthy, local, and delicious food in as many households as possible.

What We Offer

Farm Fresh Eggs

Fresh Produce

Authentic Salsas

Our farm is an ecosystem. It is home to 100 free range chickens who lay the most beautiful eggs. We raise Miniature Babydoll Southdown sheep, a rare heritage breed with a soft fleece and a gentle disposition, who make ideal permaculture pets. There are many geese, ducks, hawks, owls and other wildlife who also consider our farm home, or visit on a regular basis. Together, the animals contribute to the organic matter that helps enrich our living soil.

Thanks to that soil and all of its microorganisms, we grow a diverse selection of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and beans.

And when the tomato and tomatillo season starts, we get busy in the kitchen making authentic homemade Mexican salsas and other tasty treats to share with the community.

There is nothing quite as delicious as farm fresh, local, in-season food!
